Nick is a 23-year-old photographer, videographer, and filmmaker from Salt Lake City, Utah, based in New York City. Throughout his time in Utah, Nick worked as a camera operator, director, and director of photography on various feature-length films, short films, and commercial projects. With a passion for digital media and traditional film, Nick is constantly inspired by new and old photography and cinema aesthetics. Nick graduated with honors from the University of Utah with a Bachelor's in Film and Media Arts with an Emphasis in Film Production.
At the age of 18, Nick founded and started his own photography and videography business, Nick Lloyd Photography (Now Nick Lloyd Media), with a focus on couples, portraits, and weddings. Over time, Nick has grown his business and expanded into other interesting subjects such as fashion editorials, branded content, corporate events, and more. While running a business as a full-time student, Nick quickly learned the necessary skills of time management, effective communication, and goal-oriented planning. Being a young adult who also enjoys a healthy work-life balance, Nick takes time to stay up-to-date on trends and carve out important time with family and friends.
During his time at the University of Utah, Nick was elected and served as the University's student film secretary, organizing guest speaker events, instructing fellow students, and directing student-organized film projects. Nick was awarded "Best in Fest" at the 2024 University of Utah Film Festival for his short film "Someday, Maybe." Other recognitions include the Audience Choice Award at the 2023 Zions Indie Film Festival for his work as a camera operator on the film "Devil's Men," and he was most recently officially selected to debut his short film "Sit With Me" at the 2024 Lone Star Film Festival.
Outside of the digital media realm, Nick is a successful fashion designer, debuting his first line in February 2024 at the Salt Lake "For the Love of Fashion, Fashion Show," and again last May at the "Utah Pride Fashion Show."
